Our commitments to customers

In tomorrow’s media we will be confirming our commitments to customers to make our food testing more stringent and to bring our meat production closer to home. I wanted you to see this first.

As you know, this follows Philip’s speech to the National Farmers’ Union (NFU) this afternoon where he also highlighted how important it is that we build better, stronger relationships with our suppliers and farmers. You can click here to read his speech in full.

And today we have also launched Tesco Food News, our new website where customers can see all the products that we have tested so far.

Nothing is more important to Tesco than the trust our customers place in us. I hope you can see this in the announcements we have made today.
