As the coronavirus outbreak continues to evolve, we’ve been making some changes to the way we work to help colleagues and customers in the best way we can. Here are some further changes we’ve made to our trading hours.
Changes to large stores opening times
340 large stores with Dotcom will open at 8am rather than 6am from Monday to Saturday.
Changes to some Express and Metro store opening times
We’ve changed the opening hours of 151 Express and Metro stores to 7am to 8pm.
Priority shopping times
Our NHS and Tesco colleague hour will extend to Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 9am-10am in all large stores and Metros.
The priority hour for the elderly and vulnerable will remain as Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-10am in all large stores and Metros.
Sunday trading hours
Sunday trading in England and Wales will move to 10am-4pm, with the 9am-10am browsing period for NHS staff and colleagues.
Sunday trading in Scotland will remain at 10am, with closing times varying per store. In Scotland, the priority hour for NHS staff and colleagues will also be from 9am-10am.
In Northern Ireland, Sunday trading will remain at 1pm-6pm, and the priority hour for NHS staff and colleagues will be 12pm-1pm.
Thank you once again to our colleagues for helping us to adapt the way we work in these unprecedented times.
