Fantastic news! Last night we had three big wins at The Grocer Gold Awards, which is the most we have won in one year since 2011.
We took home Own Label Range of the Year for our newly revamped finest* range. Our finest* range is now benchmarked against the very best food on the market. This recognition also builds on our recent success at The Grocer Own Label Food and Drink Awards and is a great testament to the collaborative work of our UK and Group Commercial and Marketing teams.
Our soft drinks team were recognised with Business Initiative of the Year for their work on reducing sugar across the soft drinks range. This has been a real step towards improving the health of our customers by removing 3 billion calories from their diets – a superb piece of product innovation that demonstrates how we’re using our scale for good.
We were also awarded Online Supermarket of the Year, which recognises our position as a leading multichannel retailer and highlights our work to improve quality and service. With the recent cuts to our Grocery delivery charges and our fantastic Click & Collect offer, we’re making a difference for customers to help make their money go further.
The Grocer Gold Awards have grown to become the most prestigious awards in the food and drink industry, recognising the very best standards in grocery retail and rewarding only the highest levels of service, initiative and commitment. This really is a fantastic achievement for all involved and builds on our outstanding awards haul over the last 12 months, which totals 525 awards across our food ranges alone.
