We stole the show and picked up two awards at the prestigious Institute of Internal Communication Awards which took place in London on Friday 26 September. The Safer Place to Shop and Work Team were awarded in the category ‘Best Internal Communication’ for the Kill Spill Campaign and were also recognised with the prestigious ‘Gold Award for Best Strategy’ against a staggering 600 applicants, beating British Airways, Sky, Virgin Trains and eBay to name a few.

Kill Spill, our very own Tesco Superhero, has been supporting stores to reduce accidents by fighting his filthy five enemies, our top causes of slip/trip related accidents. The team were recognised at the awards for the innovative campaign, which helped reduce slip/trip related accidents by over 7,000 last year alone. Kill Spill was described as the most simply named, yet effective in-house campaign.
