Many congratulations to Glen Butler who took home the coveted Learning Professional of the Year award at the 2015 Learning Awards last week.
The judges found Glen to be a passionate individual who exuded confidence in everything he did. What really struck them was how authentic he was encouraging everyone he meets, including his delegates, to think differently about themselves.
“Glen loves taking on a challenge and wants to change the way leaders lead. He takes them on a journey, asks them what the future looks like and challenges them to describe how they will get there”.
Dave Buglass, Head of Organisational Capability and Development at the Bank picked up the “CLO of the Year Award”, commenting on his award, Dave said “Although this award is for 2014, I really feel that it recognises my efforts over the last 18 or 19 years. I feel that the work I’ve done in my career up to now has been justified. This is a great honour for me.”
The judges found Dave to be both humble and fiercely passionate about building the right culture, the right skills and the right physical as well as learning environment. His strategy of building leadership around curation and exploration rather than curriculum delivery has delivered outstanding results for the Bank.
Huge congratulations to both Glen and Dave for their awards.
